Cookie policy
In effect since October 30, 2026
1. What this page covers
This is the policy of the buxy.app page, the one that presents Buxy. The Buxy account, at dashboard.buxy.app, follows the privacy policy.
2. What is kept in the browser
This page sets no cookies. It keeps a few items in the browser storage:
| Item | What for | How long | Permission |
|---|---|---|---|
buxy.cookies |
Remembering the choice made in this notice. | Until it is changed or the browser data is cleared. | Not needed: it is necessary. |
theme |
Remembering the light or dark theme, only if it is picked with the header button. | Until it is changed or the browser data is cleared. | Not needed: it is necessary. |
buxy.tab, buxy.viewed and buxy.utm |
Counting the visit: a random number for the tab, whether the visit was already counted and the campaign (utm) of the address, if it has one. | Until the tab is closed. | Yes: only with "Accept". |
The language is not stored: it is in the address of the page (/en for English).
3. What is counted with "Accept"
With "Accept", the page tells Buxy (api.buxy.app) that there was a visit or a click on a button, with its place on the page, the campaign if there is one and the random number of the tab. Only counts per day are kept: no IP address and no browser are stored, and there are no names, emails or account data.
With "Reject", or while nothing is chosen, nothing is sent and nothing from that table is written.
4. What there is not
- Advertising cookies.
- Tracking pixels or any third-party analytics other than Microsoft Clarity, which only measures after «Accept» (explained on this same page).
5. Changing the choice
The "Cookie settings" link in the footer, or the button below, reopens the notice. If the choice is "Reject" after having accepted, the data of the tab is deleted at that moment.
6. Questions
Write to soporte@buxy.app.
Microsoft Clarity
With "Accept", Microsoft Clarity measures how the page is used: clicks and scrolling. What is typed in fields, such as the waitlist email, is always hidden and never sent. "Accept" adds two first-party cookies of this page that tie visits together: _clck, the Clarity identifier, for one year, and _clsk, which ties the views of one session, for one day. Without "Accept", Clarity starts without permission: it does not tie page views together, although on load it may receive technical data about the visit and Microsoft may set cookies from its own domains (clarity.ms and bing.com). To avoid them, third-party cookies are blocked in the browser. The choice can be changed at any time with "Cookie settings", in the footer.
Waitlist
Joining the waitlist stores the email, the language of the page and, only with "Accept", the campaign (utm) of the address, if it has one. It is used only to notify when a place opens: it is not shared or used for anything else. It is deleted on request, by writing to soporte@buxy.app.
